In Uganda, millions of families live on less than $1.90 a day (defined as “extreme poverty” according to the World Bank). For these families, education is not free — it’s out of reach. Uniforms, supplies, meals, and transportation all add up, making it nearly impossible for children in extreme poverty to attend school.
BUT EDUCATION CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING!
Hope Empowers Academy (HEA) is committed to giving children who would been left behind a coveted opportunity for education. We offer ultra low-cost school fees to families living in extreme poverty. But even with the lowest fees, most parents can’t afford school costs.
Hard work and initiative is not enough for generationally poor, illiterate people overcome their situation. The building blocks for advancement - education and job opportunities - are missing. To serve the extreme poor in any context, the truth is nothing happens until someone cares enough to help. And that's where you make an impact!
Hope Empowers has the staff and facilities and the children are eager to learn. But we need you to stand in the gap with support. You can provide their 1st step towards a better life through donations to cover the school's core operating costs.
Your monthly donation is processed through our U.S. 501(c)(2) partner, Children's Home Chain, and is deductible to the extent allowed by law. 100% of your gift is sent to the field.
Join us to plant the seeds and watch them grow!
Families shouldn't have to choose between food, shelter, and education. Help us bring children out of the shadows and into the classroom.

As founder of Hope Empowers and Hope Empowers Academy, Patrick's calling is to raise children out of extreme poverty through education and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Who is our Hope. Having lived as a homeless child of the slums, he knows how hard it is to break the cycle of poverty. And now, God has called him to help others.
