“Watch Them Grow” is a unique donation that contributes to lifting entire villages out of generational poverty and offers an inspiring one-on-one connection with a student in Uganda. When donors become partners, they can form a bond that inspires and transforms an entire community. You can watch a student grow in primary and secondary education.
Becoming a “Watch Them Grow” partner costs $15 a month. Your monthly gift covers the cost of school fees as well as necessities like a uniform, schoolbooks, pencils, school meals and counseling.
You may cancel your partnership at any time and without giving reasons.
Yes! You will be matched with a student at our primary school, Hope Empowers Academy, in Uganda. Partners will receive an annual photo and update on their student. Students and their partners exchange scanned emailed letters mid-year. Partners are always invited to visit their student and community to see firsthand the impact their donation makes. Partners may connect with an existing mission trip or travel alone as a volunteer.
The most effective way to help our students is by pooling partnership donations to fund education programs for your student and other students in our program. We want to share just how your monthly gift of $15 will be spent, so you know every penny is helping your “Watch Them Grow” child have a hopeful future…
School fees - 1 in 3 children are forced to drop out of education because they can't afford school fees. Your partnership will help cover school fees.
Uniform & equipment - In Uganda, it’s up to the child’s family to provide the books, pens, pencils, backpack and uniform. Children are even expected to bring their own toilet paper roll! Pens, books, uniforms and bags are all covered thanks to your monthly gift.
School meals - It's important for a child to have something in their stomach while learning. Your monthly gift will make sure that for every day they’re at school, they are given a meal.
Yes, through our registered non-profit partnered organization, Children’s Home Chain, your donation qualifies as tax deductible. Furthermore, because we pool partnership contributions to fund education programs, this enables your contribution to be tax-deductible and ensures that our transformative educational mission reaches as many students as possible.
