Children's Home Chain is a U.S. non-profit who has partnered with Hope Empowers since inception. They are directly involved with every aspect of our ministry, to include twice weekly staff meetings. CHC scrutinizes our accounting records to ensure that donations are used exclusively for the purposes intended.
Patrick Ssenyonjo, Founder and Director
Our story began in the slums when Patrick Ssenyonjo was 14 years old, an orphan and a slum child with his sister in Kampala, Uganda's capital city. He was afforded a rare chance for adoption and a new life in the U.S., but he decided to stay and help those suffering like him. Patrick's calling started when he began taking in babies discarded on garbage dumps.
In over two decades, God has done a work that no one imagined. "Daddy" Patrick has cared for many hundreds of children in his 1st organization, Raising Up Hope for Uganda, which is now well funded and managed by an experienced team. Patrick still felt called to help slum children and poor communities, so he founded Hope Empowers. His mission remains the same - to love children in the name of Jesus and educate them to give them the best possible future.
Our Statement of Faith
We believe in...
*the Holy Bible, which is fully and uniquely the inspired Word of God, the only infallible, sufficient & authoritative rule of faith & practice.
*one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
*the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His vicarious death and atonement through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection and ascension; His mediatorial intercession; and His personal return in power and glory. He is the only savior of mankind.
*salvation by grace through faith of sinful humans through regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
*indwelling of the Holy Spirit, enabling the Christian to live a Godly life.
*resurrection of the saved unto resurrection of life and the lost unto resurrection of damnation.
*spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, who are the Church, the Body of Christ.
